A lovely break in the Peak District. The hotel is warm and comfortable with a great restaurant and fantastic food. The service was exceptional. The only downside was the tired room and especially the bathroom that we stayed in. But I would recommend this hotel and would happily stay again.

Perfect hotel for exploring the peaks.

Superb hotel with all the beauty of an old fashioned hotel but with all the modern amenities. Immaculately kept buildings and grounds. Extremely friendly, welcoming and efficient staff in all areas of hotel. Breakfast was 10/10. Great selection and hot food perfectly cooked to order. Lots of extras including a lovely touch of a preordered pack lunch to take on hikes. Everything was top class inc products in room. Can’t fault it at all. A fabulous find and I’ll be back.

Last minute trip away & we found a gem! Dog friendly bedrooms, beautiful building, non pretentious, great food, pianist on Saturday night, staff with personality that couldn’t do more for you & a packed lunch to fuel the days walking - not quite sure what else I could ask for!
