"We had a lovely stay at the Gilpin Inn. Room was clean and equipped with tea,coffee etc. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Nothing was a problem to them. We also enjoyed our food."

"Really lovely venue. Clean, spacious and attentive staff. They went out of their way to help! The food was delicious- we had the breakfast and, even as a big eater, I had to leave some of the full veggie english (amazing sausages!)! The pancakes were great too! We also used the packed lunch making facility for our climb to Helvellyn (which you can do from the hotel!) and this was also really nice. Would highly recommend. The only thing that would improve the hotel for me would be a dry room...
