This was a absolute highlight on our trip, the accommodations were great, the food was absolutely amazing as was the chef, combine that with our hosts and the locals who made you feel more than welcome. We can’t recommend this place highly enough. Thank you to all of you for your generosity.

A clean and friendly, and busy pub in the middle of nowhere, but a great base for Hadrian's Wall

Staff were so friendly and eager to help. Room was cozy and comfy and dining area was very warm and welcoming with an open fire.

We really enjoyed our stay. Staff members are very friendly and look after us well. Good food and great beer ! Would love to visit again.

Absolutely wonderful stay, delightful decor in the room, staff welcoming, warm and helpful, food lovely, excellent value, would definitely recommend

Delightful visit to The George and Dragon! Friendly and obliging staff, great pub, room and breakfast. Rooms renovated to a high standard and beautifully furnished. Loved the windows which could be opened to cool the room and bonus bath to relax in. Friendly bar staff when we had a drink in the pub before bed and lovely lady served us at breakfast. Really impressed and highly recommend a stay. 10/10

The room, bed & breakfast were great! Also had dinner and it didn’t disappoint! Nice quiet spot & easy to find.

Great accomodation. Comfortable bed, good ensuite with lovely hot shower. Staff very pleasant and hospitable. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely refurbished rooms and pub. Very comfortable and great amenities. The complimentary biscuits were lovely. Great experience all round. Breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately didn’t get to try the evening meals as they don’t do food Sunday nights. Great location for exploring Hadrians Wall.

Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Dinner was very good and again helped along by staff who obviously enjoy their work. Breakfast also excellent. Only issue is finding parking space p, but again staff did a great job making the process as easy as possible

We loved everything about our stay at Royal Oaks Breakfast was delicious. Coffee was great. Good choice of dishes for dinner Close to everything Rooms cosy and dinning rooms lovely and relaxing.

Loved the old 17th century beams in the rooms and the uneven floors. Property was very quiet - even with the Football World Cup semi-final on while we were there. Staff were all incredibly helpful and loved the breakfast. 100% recommend and would love to take my dog next time as they are very dog friendly (they get a sausage at breakfast!).
