"Lovely, oldie worlded, the staff where friendly and helpful. The room we had was great a bit of space. We would stay again, however we will not dine in for any evening meal, like being back at school, so we only dine in once. Breakfast where fine plenty of choice. Last thing you have to ask them to come into the room to change anything, so tea and coffee etc was not replaced or clean cups or glasses and we where there for 4 nights. Otherwise a lovely stay in Buxton "

"We loved our stay here, the staff in particular are superb, they couldn’t do enough to help us which was even more appreciated given that we had our toddler with us. The rooms are beautifully decorated, quiet and large. My only criticism is that there was a bit of black mould around the bath/shower in our bathroom which needs bleaching, otherwise everywhere was spotless. We will be back for sure."

Jonas Hotel
2.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (296)
"Staff were helpful and great to talk to, and parking was convenient. Actual hotel is a bit of a walk from town centre, so bear that in mind (there is a bus stop within a 5min walk). On the other hand the area was nice and quiet (although I did stay outside of the academic year). Also this hotel has communal kitchens on each floor where you can cook and store leftovers, but there is no restaurant, although the Halifax Hall nearby does if you need a meal."

"We stayed for 1 night to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Our first impressions were that it had a lovely buzz about it and the hotel had been refurbished to a very high standard. The staff were extremely polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate and had all of the facilities one would expect. Having checked in we decided to join the buzz by having a drink in a beautiful lounge bar. We then had an evening meal which was excellent, the waiting staff were very friendly and helpful....
