Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. "The name says it all this is a lovely old hotel in a great location. I had an overnight stay after seeing a show at the Opera House opposite the hotel. "Lovely. We will definitely be back. The food was really special as was the wine and service. We paid for the deluxe king room and the bathroom was really lovely my only slight gripe was the room didn’t feel especially roomy or deluxe however the bathroom did make up for this as it was gorgeous. Not a complaint but I think I wouldn’t pay the extra for the deluxe room when I come back which I definitely will be doing. It’s worth it for the food and service alone as well as the beautiful scenery. "

"Overall our two nights were good room and property were very clean and there's a kitchen for food. A couple of points would be to have a blind on the bathroom door window mainly because the morning light comes in and wound add more privacy. Also we found the mattresses uncomfortable and springy so didn't get a great sleep but its a lovely property and would stay again if beds were comfier "

Good business stayover
"Check in was busy but the 2 reception guys were very efficient. Room was a little tired and very cold - couldn’t work out how to turn the aircon off and the light system was complicated. I ate in the Lounge Bar and the staff there were great, felt I couldn’t hear myself over the music - was quite loud. Food was fantastic! Didn’t sleep very well!! Breakfast was brilliant- wanted to say thank you to a fantastic member of staff that assisted me, went out of her way to find out allergen information as I have coeliac- thank you so much Sarah - you were amazing! "
