The children especially enjoyed the playground just across from the back garden. Our only disappointment was that the listing said there was a hot tub, but that must have been an error. "Unfortunately this property did not live up to the 10/10 Exceptional reviews. Upon arrival we were greeted by dead flowers outside and a dirty front door with a musty smelling entrance porch. Huge cobwebs in the lounge had been there months. There was mould in the corner of the dining room. The main bedroom had suffered a leak in the ceiling which had happened sometime ago and just been left. The whole property looked unloved and somewhat neglected. "We have just returned home after a 2 week stay at Milford House which we highly recommend. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The house is in a convenient location, only a minute or two's walk from the centre of the village. A particular highlight was the bedroom in the roof and the sounds of the sheep and cows in the fields nearby! We enjoyed staying in Tideswell...

"We arrived at The Old Toffee Shop on Boxing Day - a beautifully appointed and really practical base for a few days exploring the Monsal Trail and Chee Valley with our two boys. The cottage was warm, comfortable and a pleasure to call home, even just for three nights!"
