"Four days walking with friends - great location and lovely property with very friendly and helpful owner The layout of property worked very well for us - we self catered and the kitchen had everything we needed. Only slight issue was that the showers in the rooms were not very powerful - maybe we werent usung them oroperly? Would definitely come again "

The shower is over bath by necessity, owing to the original dimensions of this cottage; slightly tricky getting in/out of the bath if you’re 6ft tall, though it can be done. "Lovely home for large families, plenty of space both inside and out with a scenic view. The kitchen is stocked well with utensils, pans and plates with several dishwasher tablets (usually only come with 1!) we needed to use it each day. Easy to find and instructions were straight forward. Space for 5 cars on the driveway if you are good at manoeuvring. "

"We had four adults stay for ten days and a fifth join us for three nights. It was an incredible experience all around. My husband was directing a show for the Gilbert and Sullivan festival and several of our housemates were in the show. They felt like they were living in luxury! To top it off, the walk into town (and to their rehearsals) were a treat, cutting through the park and enjoying all the scenes. If you want an attentive host, Angela is it! She even contacted me to see if I needed...

"We had a really lovely stay at the Old Stables as a group of 30 year olds in Buxton for a wedding. Sue is a very informative host and we had no issues checking in. The house is in an excellent location and within walking distance of all Buxton has to offer. The photos also don’t do the house justice, it is so spacious and has everything needed for a great group holiday! "
