"Room was very warm. Had to use provided desk fan to keep temp at tolerable level. Couldn’t leave the window open overnight due to street noise from the clubs and bars near by. "Was upgraded to 2 bedroom apartment with balcony and view over the river. Large apartment, kitchen adequate, could have done with a few more standard utensils (tin opener, scissors, 2 oven gloves rather than 1). Whole apartment needed some tlc. Tap loose in the en-suite and loose floor tiles. Settee very lumpy too. However, bed was clean and comfortable which was the main thing needed. Towels and toiletries provided along with tea, coffee and milk. Only stayed 1 night and got bargain price so...

"We have just returned from 1 night stay at Royal station hotel ,. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were checked in smoothly although our room was not ready the girl at reception was very helpful stating we could leave luggage . We were given an upgraded room which was beautiful. We both prefer the old buildings with a little character. Breakfast next morning was lovely, self service , food was hot and tasty. We have stayed here many times when we visit Newcastle and will definitely be returning very soon. "
