Couldn't recommend this hotel more, perfectly placed for Beamish museum, spotless, food excellent ,staff couldn't have been nicer,room cosy, wasn't expecting much for such a reasonable price but pleasantly surprised, couple of nice pubs within walking distance too

Lovely friendly welcome at Reception. And had a nice meal with good service in the restaurant. The breakfast is cooked to order and was served hot and tasty. Julia was our fab waitress who looked after us at breakfast. The room was clean, a good size and comfortable bed and nice to have a bath and separate shower.

Warm welcome, nice room, well appointed, but could do with air conditioning. Reception found a fan which was welcomed. The receptionist was so welcoming and quick check in and information she gave was helpful. Bedrooms were clean and modern bathroom with large shower. The staff were amazing and so friendly. U could park your car outside bedrooms window, which was convenient.

Clean and functional room. Cold shower wasn’t the best. Wouldn’t get hot. Big gap between bottom of the front door and floor meant we could hear everything when people walked past. Location of the room was odd as it looked like it was in the middle of a wedding venue. Wished there was plug sockets by the bed.

This is our 2nd Visit to this lovely hotel. We only stayed one night 2 years ago but loved it so much we decided to stay this year for 3 nights The staff are so friendly, polite and helpful The rooms are a good size with lots of storage, although a bit outdated compare to the rest of the hotel. Plenty of parking The food was absolutely superb with a fantastic menu choice. Breakfast with lots of options, especially the fresh kippers which you don’t find in many hotels It’s in a great location with lovely views and if you like to play golf there is 9 hole, par 3 right next to the hotel and Beamish park gold course less than 10 mins away. Would definitely recommend this hotel and we look forward to staying again in the future.
