"We stayed just the one night, and were provided with a disabled access room, even though neither of us required that. We did not eat at the hotel. However, that meant the room was extremely spacious and it was very clean and well presented. Luckily the air conditioning was working well, unlike some other hotels we could mention, as it was a very warm night."

One of the highlights of our stay was being upgraded to a room in the main castle building, which made our visit even more special. Staying within the historic heart of the castle really added to the magic of the experience and made us feel immersed in its incredible history and character. Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and full of charm, while still offering all the modern comforts we could have wanted. Exploring the castle and its stunning surroundings was a real pleasure, and every corner seemed to have its own story to tell. The food was excellent, and breakfast in such a unique and atmospheric setting made every meal feel like an occasion. Throughout our stay, the staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Lumley Castle is a truly special place that offers something far beyond a typical hotel stay. The upgrade to the main building was a wonderful surprise and helped create memories that we will treasure for years to come. We would not hesitate to recommend it and are already looking forward to returning."
