"We have just returned from 1 night stay at Royal station hotel ,. We were celebrating my husband’s birthday. On arrival we were checked in smoothly although our room was not ready the girl at reception was very helpful stating we could leave luggage . We were given an upgraded room which was beautiful. We both prefer the old buildings with a little character. Breakfast next morning was lovely, self service , food was hot and tasty. We have stayed here many times when we visit Newcastle and will definitely be returning very soon. "

"We stayed for two nights in a junior suite, the hotel was clean and tidy, staff were all friendly and welcoming. The bar and cocktails were lovely. Unfortunately the dinner menu was not great so we ate out both nights and luckily there are many options for food and drink close by. We did have a problem with breakfast on the second day (food was burnt) we returned the plate and then got the wrong replacement food and still burnt, after raising with the restaurant manager it was refunded so no significant impact on the rest of our stay."

"Great location good hotel. Gym shuts at 7pm which is early especially as you have to pay £5 entry. The buffet shut at 9:30 and is £12 on pre book £16.50 on the door. Didn’t know this information. The room in my three day stay wasn’t turned down my colleague bedroom was. "

"Kath, Hannah and Andrea (the breakfast team) were very friendly and helpful and always had smiles to greet me with. The evening meal team were equally friendly and helpful. The reception team (Rebecca and Katrina to mane just two) at Check-in and Check-out were very friendly and when I raised an issue about the hot water in room 235 in the morning they got it sorted and informed me when I came back in the evening. The food was good with fast service and a good atmosphere. The gym staff were friendly too and Vanessa always had a smile on her face and made you feel welcome. I've stayed here on my previous trips to Newcastle and wouldn't hesitate to do so again."
