Hotel Fantastic- Booking through Expedia Tragic

Pros: The facilities, staff, rooms, parking all fabulous.
Cons: Nothing from my view.
Location: Location perfect, close to Queen Street, theaters, restaurants.
The hotel experience was fabulous, the hotel itself I would so recommend, it is situated really well if you are going to shows, but is also a lovely walk down queen street to the Viaduct. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming and can not do enough for you. As far as experience with the booking, that was tragic, I used expedia and unfortunately after this experience will never use again. I had an original booking, plans changed so I rang up and added a day at the begining and took the last day off at the end, this was completed and i had my bookings. When I got to the hotel I was informed that yes, I had two bookings a new one for the earlier day, but the last day had not been taken off, so I was obliged the pay for this. This is were the fun began. The hotel did warn me that this happens and good luck getting it cancelled, even though it was not my fault !! I made 3 phone calls three days in a row, with the shortest call being 21 minutes, being told each time after explaining, that no they did not have a record of my first call (even though you are told all calls are recorded.) They put me on hold, said they had spoken to the hotel booking office, yes it was sorted and yes they will send an email, this on the 3 occasions did not happen. The morning of the last day I made a call and literrally had to please my case, finally something was done. I think this was very unprofessional. I still have not heard any feedback.

Hotel was lovely nice staff. Rooms were not made up to satisfaction Tardy. Cups left in washroom stuff in fridge moved around. Cups in cupboard not replaced.

Comfortable and good WiFi.

Had a pleasant stay at Grand Millennium Auckland. The heated pool was especially appreciated in the cool weather so close to winter. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would have liked it better for cost effectiveness if carpark charges were lower.

Good clean hotel close to the city

Pros: Great service, good facilities, getting the basics right.
Cons: Nothing of consequence.
Location: Great location near Aooetoa Centre and the Civic Theatre, close to K Road and City.
We checked in and discovered our twin room had two double beds. As we had three adults and really needed a queen and a double. The receptionist swapped the rooms and made us very happy. Good start. The bathroom was well appointed and maintained and the facilities excellent. Being close to the city is a bonus, close to eateries and shopping. A great experience in friendly service.

The room was good and reception were friendly enough. Was disappointed though with the breakfast the next morning. We were in a hurry and just wanted coffee and a croissant and some toast - it took a long time for the coffee and food to arrive and when it did - the croissant was cold and the toast was hard and cold as well. $9 for 3 bits of hard toast with butter and jam.

excellent hotel, great staff

Pros: The concierge service was great. The pool very nice and indoors. Good Location. Really enjoyed the couch in our room.
Location: The theater Civic center is very near, And shopping is not too far away. The art museum is within walking distance.
The hotel was a good location for us in the city center. Taxis available at all times out front. The concierge were amazing and on top of everything. From the minute we stepped in the door we did not have to touch our luggage. They answered every question, arranged for every need. The service they provided really stood out as above and beyond what we expected, and left us feeling spoiled by them.

Beautiful Older Hotel

Pros: The facilities were great, especially the Buffet breakfast and other resturants
Location: Close to the top of Queen Street, with a tunnel connecting to Aotea Square
