The hotel staff are exceptional and the property itself -- location, layout, room design -- is high quality. The only negative was the view from the oceanfront rooms: overlooks the HVAC rooftop units of the pool bar and adjacent buildings. Still, a small blip on an otherwise unblemished screen.
My King room with side suite was perfect. Upgraded, comfortable bed, wifi, view of ocean, clean.
I chose not to have maid service and would you believe, NO KNOCKS ON THE DOOR!!! They listened! I would definately go back to this hotel. The staff were ALL very nice.
With a great location and super friendly staff this is a perfect place to relax, enjoy the atmosphere and be close to everything that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. Walking distance from the beach you will need a car or a taxi to hit the nightlife though. If going by car the only inconvenience is that the free parking is very limited but there's plenty of public options around. Definitely a place to enjoy a quick getaway or a long stay.
We stayed at this hotel over Thanksgiving weekend. In addition to the beautiful beach and heated pool, there were many daily activities planned for the kids, including a nightly movie at the pool and even an animal show with real animals. We had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to return.
We were very pleased with this hotel - we loved that we could walk directly onto a beautiful piece of ft Lauderdale beach or lounge by their pool and listen to the waves.... It is also just a little over a mile away from a great downtown area with bars, shopping and dining. We will return.
I had a good experience. Rooms were quiet. It was what I expected. This is not a 5 star resort, but it feels private with an elevated walkway between the two hotel buildings, pool, and over the road to the beach. The pool is on the second story away from the beach. This hotel is surrounded by huge yachts on two sides, and has tennis courts available for guests. The staff was pleasant enough. Wi-Fi was a bit of a problem. It's available in the lobby and in some rooms, but not all (you can buy it, I believe it was 4.95 per night). I've stayed at this hotel 3 times, and would stay again, I'm very happy with it. This time the hotel was about 50% filled with Baltimore ravens fans, who were apparently playing against the Miami Dolphins. Keeps this in mind, as the hotel is very busy when there is a Dolphins home game
