This was our second time staying in The Westin Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort. We absolutely love this hotel! The Starbucks near the spa and fitness center is a bonus. The Cabanas on the pool deck are awesome, not to mention the view of the ocean from the deck. Beautiful. The live music, restaurants, and club scene are just a few blocks away. The rooms are great. The beds are extremely comfortable and the bathroom is a decent size. Everything and everyone were wonderful. Get your money's worth and stay here, especially if you need to rejuvenate your life. You'll really feel like you've had a vacation. We did.
Everything about this hotel was great unfortunately the hotel front desk showed our renovation as being cancelled which we did not initiate, don't know whose error it was but the front desk was able to reinstate the renovation and give us an upgrade
Overall, my wife and I had a terrific experience. The staff was excellent, which can make all the difference given the number of similarly situated hotels in the area. Very nice pool, great views, right across the street from the beach. Within walking distance from the restaurants and bars. Buses and trolleys are convenient once you learn them. A few thoughts for those readers who have not been to Ft. Lauderdale:
1. Unless you absolutely need a car, I strongly suggest not renting one. The hotel parking is valet only, and charges approximately $33 per day, plus tips getting your car. I note, however, that parking is scarce in this area, and the Hilton's charges are consistent with other hotels.
2. If you want to go to the beach and sit on a lounge chair with an umbrella, be prepared for additional costs. There is a guy there who charges $12 per chair, and $25 for an umbrella. There is no discount for guests. He says that he is separate from the hotel, but you can charge it to your room. To me, this is an absurd additional cost, especially for this level hotel. Bring towels and go to the beach in the morning when it's not too hot and you don't need the umbrella. You can then go to the hotel pool, where there are a number of lounge chairs in shaded areas.
3. The suite had a kitchen. This allowed us to take a bus to a local supermarket for food and water. I suggest doing that early in your trip. It will save you a bundle in restaurant expenses.
Stayed here for one night and I can't wait to go back. Clean room, beautiful bathroom, relaxing balcony. We had the king oceanfront room, 11th floor. Watching the sunrise was the highlight. Friendly staff, can't complain at all.

I had an awesome experience. The guest services was friendly and pleasant from the beginning to the end.
We were able to check in early and check out later. We were upgraded to Starwood preferred guest. They stored our luggage for us at check out for later departure, so we could enjoy ourselves a little longer before we left.
The food was excellent at the outside bar and service was awesome. The beach was very close and the beach guys were great. They provided us with towels and chairs everyday.
The hotel and flight was a great deal thru expedia. I would definitely come back again
*For these trips, trip savings is at least equal to the cost of the flight or hotel if booked separately. Note: For trips including flights, you will be charged by the airline for the flight, but your savings on the trip will equal the cost of the flight.
