"NOT a great stay!!!!! I was supposed to receive a phone call from the Extended Stay Manager regarding the multiple issues we had, I am still waiting! Upon checking in: A/C unit leaking water all over the floor and was squishing out from under the vinyl floor planks. Had to ask for towels repeatedly to wipe up and cover the floor. Humidity in the room was very high because of all the moisture and smell was not pleasant! The second night, neither mine nor my husband’s room keys were working and had to be reset. No hair dryer, the least of our issues. The front door was stuck when we tried to leave the building, and we had to push it open. In my opinion, a major security issue, not to mention the 2 elevators were making horrible scraping and cracking noises that resulted in our friends, who were staying there as well, ended up getting STUCK in the elevator and the fire department had to come and get them out!!! We missed our shuttle to the ship, we were going on our 1st cruise, my friend was paralyzed with panic from being stuck in the elevator for more than 15 minutes. The front desk Lady told us in not so nice words, not to talk to other guests, that were coming in and out of the building, about what was going on with our friends stuck in the elevator! I was promised a 50% refund, and I have not received it yet. The picture of this extended stay is nothing like it. Very used and no updates in years. The bathroom is a whole other story! "

"Room was clean AC in the living room was very cold not very strong in the bedroom. Had to maintain door open to try to get some air from the living room into the bedroom to try to sleep comfortably biggest drawback is when you want to watch TV to wind down the Chromecast only available feature built into the TV does not work properly . Does not stay connected so you cannot watch Netflix or prime video or anything properly . Lago mar needs to upgrade their televisions to have these apps readily available where you can sign in with their own accounts to Netflix Prime Video and so forth to be able to watch .TV function is basically useless unless you want to pay for a premium movie"

"We stayed in the tower area in April 2026. It felt very old and was a bit uncomfortable. We had reserved a king bed room and the room was't available when we arrived. The only room type available was two queens, but they felt a little smaller than a usual queen. Also, the bathroom door didn't close completely, so it was weird to use the bathroom. The staff were really nice and did their best to help us. A staff member at the door saved us from a predatory cab driver. The desk person was also kind and calmed us after our experience with the cab driver. I would stay here again for the right price, but not for more than a night or two. "

"I was very disappointed with my stay. The room was not clean and did not feel pleasant at all. The corridor was in terrible condition, with garbage left on the floor, which created an overall negative first impression. The pool area was overcrowded, making it difficult to enjoy, and I was surprised to be asked to pay extra for chairs near the pool, even though they belong to the hotel. Considering the high price I paid for the room, this felt unreasonable. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities such as minibar items, and charging $8 for a bottle of water felt excessive. While breakfast was decent and the restaurant was acceptable, neither stood out as particularly great. Overall, I expected much better service, cleanliness, and amenities for the price of this hotel. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet expectations, and I will not be returning."
