All top notch, super friendly and helpful stuff, great food, - only one thing - during my one week stay I had a chance to eat fresh avocado only once - during Mexican dinner - very strange - no avocado in Mexico, Except that, all 5 stars !!!! Can’t wait to come back

Catalonia Playa Maroma was a great hotel for people traveling to Cancun/Riviera Maya area for the first time. This is a family- friendly perfect for family vacations. The staff a this hotel are absolutely lovely. They are all very friendly and it clearly shows that they love their job. Food was awesome too. And for the price that we paid, this was a bang for your buck. The breakfast buffet was my favourite as it features variety and quality breakfast. We were able to try two of the reservations-only restaurants—Adelita and Ayami. Will definitely go back to Adelita just for their tacos and service. Everything we ate were amazing. For Ayami (Wok), food was a bit on the salty side in my opinion. I just wish we could try all restaurants as everything was booked off except for these restaurants. Amenities wise, we love the sun beds by the beach and the tennis court. There are lots of places you can chill during the day but be prepared to secure your spot very early on. I wish all the lights in our room were working and the TV was a bit outdated. Overall a 9/10 stay! Will definitely be back 🏝️☀️🌊
