Tides Folly Beach, Charleston's Oceanfront Hotel

"Overall the Tides is a nice place to stay. The location, onsite restaurants, and walkability to all Folly has to offer is wonderful. We had a premium oceanfront room, so the view was great, especially close to the pier. The Tides does need to update the rooms & clean them better, however. Our room & bedding smelled musty. Mattress was on the harder side. The refrigerator was super tiny, and leftover boxes wouldn’t fit. For the price point, we expected a little more. We still enjoyed our stay & can’t wait to come back to the area."

"Room was spotless! No sand grit on the floors during our entire stay. Breakfast each morning was delicious. They hold daily happy hours in the afternoon with drinks and charcuterie-so welcoming and warm. Loved every bit of the stay. Will definitely return and definitely recommend. The courtesy golf cart shuttle was down for repairs but the location is so close to the beach it didn’t impact our plans at all."

"We are a multi-generational family that thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Ocean's Eye".We look forward to returning. Great House! Great Location! Wonderful Beach! First and foremost, the house was impeccably clean, which is always our top priority. Beyond that, the property beautifully accommodated our multi-generational family. With six bedrooms: each featuring its own private bathroom.it was an absolute game-changer for a group of our size. A couple of additional half-baths made the setup even better. The gathering spaces were plentiful and comfortable, easily hosting all nine of us.We spent every morning on the porch enjoying the sound of the waves. After cooking in the easy-to-use and amazingly well-stocked kitchen (which even included a Smeg lemon and lime squeezer!) and eating breakfast at a table perfectly sized for ten, we made use of the provided beach chairs and umbrellas and headed to the shore. Our afternoons were filled with swimming in the pool and playing ping-pong. Before dinner, we loved hanging out on the porch again, and after dinner, we would take a walk on the beach. We capped off every night sitting on the roof deck, taking in the sunset over the marsh. The views were truly limitlessHIGHLY RECOMMENDED."

"We had a wonderful stay! The location was fantastic, right across from the beach, and a few blocks from restaurants, making it easy to enjoy everything Folly Beach has to offer. One of our favorite parts was sitting in the porch and watching the ocean. The home was clean and well maintained. The host was responsive and it had a great fully fenced backyard."
