"We enjoyed our stay here. The location is just a few blocks from the main drag and restaurants. It was a very homey place and the breakfast and happy hour were nice . Fridge was stocked with water and ice. Our room was right at the entrance but was mostly quiet. However, it seemed the water pipes were really loud and we could hear alot of noise. I supposed thats one of the compromises with a bed and breakfast but it was not a deal breaker by any means. Staff was overall friendly..but not consistent. Some were much friendlier than others. Also, the bikes are a nice touch but could maybe use some
Maintenance. Once I got out I realized the chain was totally rusted and I was a bit nervous. Overall it was excellent and we would come back! "
"Nice room comfy bed. Odd situation with bathroom sink hot water. It wouldn’t get warm unless shower was also turned on. The girl at reception listened and then said “how odd”. We agreed it was. As we were checking out we don’t know if or how it was resolved "
"Perfect location for beach and town, easy access, wanted for nothing, delighted in everything. A perfect place for a couple's getaway. Sunrise and sunset were beautiful on the beach! Beach and town were uncrowded at this time of year (mid-September), just lovely."

"The Purple Palace was in a perfect location just off Center St and upstairs from a great bar with tiki vibes and delicious cocktails. It was clean, spacious, and well-stocked with almost everything we needed -- a beach cart and chairs, towels, kitchen pots and pans, detergents, etc. The large balcony was great for lounging over morning coffee and dinner alfresco. Finalizing the reservation and checking in and out were easy, and we had a fun and worry-free stay. Everything was comfortable, and just what we needed. We were very happy we decided to stay here, and would love to come back soon! A couple small tips for future travelers: to keep the kitchen spotless when guests arrive, the management company doesn't leave things like aluminum foil, bags, or pantry cooking staples like salt and pepper in the cabinets. So don't forget to bring anything you'd need. Also, the shampoo and body wash were quite low quality, so I would suggest bringing your own. But these were easy to work around and didn't detract from a perfect vacation thanks to the Purple Palace!"
