"This was my first time staying at The Tides hotel. The staff was excellent and rooms were very comfortable and clean! The free beach chairs were great and the clerk text me to remind me to return the chairs by 6pm. The sundry store in the lobby had everything I needed including medicine and a Starbucks latte at 6am! I talked to other guests who told me they were impressed with the hotel, visiting for the first time as well. During a very bad thunderstorm, the lights went out for a few seconds which caused the elevators to trip off, but the staff immediately texted all the guests asking if they needed assistance and provided a short time to restoration which they met."

"I grant myself the slip of the pride sin in writing this review only because I am confident in my understanding of the greatness of the written word which is why I was so stunned upon meeting our hosts, spending two nights at the property, taking advantage of the location that I found myself at a loss for words to capture how utterly mind blowing the whole experience was for my wife and I. Very important. Utilize direct website. We stayed in the Seacret bungalow. Again, from the breakfast - continental; however, the level is beyond just any stars in terms of thoughtfulness, decor, accessibility. The bungalow itself not sure where to begin. The other rooms and cottages or bungalows, no words. Options to rent multiple spaces where everyone is in the same "building" yet has individual rooms. Towels, beach chairs, fire pit, hammocks - DOG FRIENDLY with a completely clean, maintained dog area on premises! While we did not bring a dog, upon learning we easily could have bought a dog(s) and pay a ** fee, yes, ** (not per dog either). The entire place is tranquility and peace. You enter curious and it is a hotel not a boutique - you begin to downshift to 3rd, 2nd, 1st and engage the p brake and you never want to put it back down and leave. Its not the Hotel California, but damn someone needs to write a song about this place. And lest I be remiss and forget Wrigley. Again, dog friendly Boutique Hotel. Make sure to stock up on merch!"

"Our family of 14 (with three of those being 16 months and younger) very comfortably stayed here and had a great time! The host was very responsive and was very kind! The main living area/kitchen are great for large families and the home had everything we needed! We ate in every night and were not without any kitchen needs to include a great pot for our Lowcountry boil. Crosby’s Seafood provided great fresh seafood to include King Crab legs, lobster tails, shrimp, and mussels. Parking was great as well for five families. There were plenty of beach and bath towels provided (so no need to bring your own). Will we return? Absolutely! It was our first trip to Folly Beach, but not our last! And we will return to this very comfortable home! We were very thankful to get our 4 daughters and their families together and this was the perfect place for us to unwind and spend some time together! And the beach view and access are great!"
