The space
#FlamingoTides, by Ambien is not your typical seaside abode. Forget boring beige and drab greys; our Isle of Wight holiday home is a feast for the eyes! We’ve splashed the place with a bold and brave colour scheme of rich emerald, blush and honey tones, and added some subtle gold and black accents for that extra pop. We love to express our creativity and personality through our decor, and we hope you’ll appreciate our quirky and humorous touches throughout. Trust us, you won’t find another place like this on the island!

Our living room offers a blast of colour and comfort with a green velvet chesterfield style sofa that begs you to snuggle up with a good book or binge watch your favourite show on our smart TV. The sofa is covered with pink blush textured cushions and jungle style pillows that make you feel like you’re sinking into a tropical paradise - or at least a remarkably fancy zoo. On our wall above the sofa is a large painting on canvas depicting the Venus de Milo dripping in paint - it’s one of our favourite pieces! We think she looks fabulous - don’t you?

Our separate kitchen diner is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm. You’ll find pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, mugs, kettle, toaster, microwave, gas oven, and a small fridge-freezer in our kitchen. You’ll also find tea bags (because we’re British!), coffee (because we’re human!), sugar (because we’re sweet!), salt (because we’re salty!), and pepper (because we’re spicy!). There’s also a dining table that seats four people comfortably - perfect for enjoying your food or playing board games with your mates. We have some games in the cabinet for you to use - just don’t cheat!

Our large bathroom transforms into a titled oasis of calm and comfort (once you squint your eyes hard enough). You have the luxury to choose between a deeply refreshing shower or a soothing tranquil bath - or both if you’re feeling adventurous. We provide fluffy towels that feel like clouds, shampoo that smells like heaven, conditioner that makes your hair silky smooth, body wash that cleanses your soul, and a teeny-tiny travel hairdryer that (won’t) blow you away. You’ll feel totally relaxed and pampered after a long day of exploring the island - or just soaking in the tub until you turn into a prune!

Our two bedrooms have super comfy orthopaedic beds that we can switch from doubles to twins to perfectly suit your group’s needs. You’ll sleep like a newborn baby Flaminglet on our soft and fluffy bedding, and wake up feeling fresh and fabulous for your next adventure. Each bedroom has a clothes rail, bedside table and lamp - plus a big window with black out blinds for when you need some shut-eye.

We have a CCTV camera monitoring the front door of our flat. It’s there to ensure your safety and security, and to make sure you don’t sneak in any unwelcome flamingos. The camera is positioned inside the communal building hallway but outside of our flat. It only records the entrance to Flat A and does not record any bedrooms or other private areas inside the flat. It’s only used for security purposes and to ensure that you don’t throw any wild parties without us ;)

Guest access
Guests have complete private access to the entire space in Flat-A at #FlamingoTides. However, guests must not access any restricted spaces.

We can all be a little curious from time to time, but please don’t access any of the locked cupboards or drawers, or any underbed storage or other restricted spaces such as lofts, attics or basements. We promise we’re not hiding any treasure.

We kindly ask that guests do not loiter in the hallway of the building or stand outside of the flat building, as this space is used by residents and neighbours who have young children and work full time. We don’t want to give the neighbours any reason to moan at us.

We kindly ask that guests refrain from smoking or making noise in the communal hallway areas, as neighbours live there. Inside the flat, please also be mindful of the neighbours and keep the noise to a minimum. We don’t want to give the neighbours any reason to think we’re throwing a party without them ;)
Other things to note
One of the best things about our holiday home is its close proximity and walking distance to the beach. You can walk to the beach in just 5 minutes from our apartment. No need to stress about parking or traffic. Just grab your sunscreen and your teenie bikini (or yellow polka dot mankini) and head to the sandy shores of Shanklin. There you can enjoy swimming, sunbathing, surfing, kayaking, or just lounging on the sand. You can also stroll along the bustling promenade for some laughs and entertainment.

But that’s not all! Our holiday home is also close to many restaurants, bars, shops, and amusements in Shanklin. You can walk to the town center in just 5 minutes from our apartment. There you can find a range of cuisines and flavours to serve your palate. Whether you’re hungry for fish and chip, pizza, curry, or ice cream (nom nom nom), you’ll find it here. You can also frequent many of the local pubs or bars in town for a drink or two (or three or four).

Our holiday home has easy access to some of the Isle of Wight's most famous attractions. We're only a short five minutes walk to Shanklin train station and you can easily reach anywhere on the island by car or public transport. Why not:
