The property is well situated - Plantation Road is a lovely little street with one of the best pubs in Oxford as one of its jewels. This property would be perfect for those wanting to explore Oxford proper. Further, because the two bedrooms are subterranean they would remain cool in the summers in our opinion.
We traveled to Oxford for our daughter’s graduate with her doctorate from the University. We were in a great location to celebrate with her through the week.
The flat is comfortable and located on a quiet street within walking distance of central Oxford. Shops and restaurants are nearby and a lovely pub is across the street. We enjoyed our host who was helpful with our questions and needs. It was a delightful base for our visit to Oxford.
We spent about 12 days at this property as we love the Jericho location. The beds are comfortable and it's quiet at night as they are on the lower level. The only changes that should be made are adding a handrail to the steps going down to the bedrooms as there wasn't one and providing a non-slip shower mat as the shower is slippery when wet.
This is the perfect location if you are looking to explore Oxford. Close to plenty restaurants, bars & cafes. Great stay, very clean big house made it perfect for a family trip. Comfy beds and warm house even with freezing nights outside. Henry is a great host, who met us for check in and we would happily stay here again.
We loved our stay! The house really felt like an authentic home, it was warm spacious and light. The hosts were really friendly and made everything really easy. The location was just perfect, I love Jericho! Overall just everything we hoped for and more, cannot recommend this place enough!!
This is a very comfortable house in a very convenient location. The house is well supplied. The kitchen is particularly pleasant. Spacious and bright with a cozy eating nook.
Located on a quiet street with a charming vegetarian pub across the way, the house is a short walk to the vibrant Main Street of Jericho and a leisurely 20 minute walk to the heart of Oxford. A manager is next door to handle any problems. We would definitely come back.
Hello. The apartment was pleasant and nicely furnished. Great location for getting around Oxford. Nice Pub across the street and pleasant business area with all types of shops and restaurants close by.

The property is in a lovely area with shops, pubs and good restaurants close by. The upstairs is cosy and well decorated. The downstairs rooms are a little small and cold, however our host provided us with extra duvets, which was much appreciated. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Lovely home, difficult check-in
I was not able to receive the check-in instructions so the day of I was panicked about how I would gain access to the house and the communication with the host and property manager was strained.
Once we arrived at the property it was lovely and as described. It a cute, lovely neighborhood location with a delicious pub right across the street!

Great location
The neighborhood is fantastic. It is about a 20 walk to downtown Oxford. The neighborhood pub across the street has an incredible feel and the food is outstanding. We did have issues with communicating with the host, he was just slow in his replys. The owner was on site and very friendly, she took care of any issues we had. I feel the furnishings should be updated. The couch was old and in need of replacement. The sheets, towels and linens were of lower quality. Would I stay there again, because of the owner's attentiveness and the location I would definitely stay there again. We do plan on returning within the next couple of years.

Disappointed
We stayed at Henry’s unit for six nights in April of 2025. The unit is located in a lovely area that is very close to shops and restaurants. Kitchen is nice and modern. On the surface unit appears cute and well appointed but it soon became evident that everything is at a budget standard. Bed mattress is very uncomfortable, sagging, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are down steep, slippery stairs. We have some mobility issues and the stairs were very difficult for us. There is a lovely garden in the back but no access to it as the back door is not usable. This is also a fire hazard as the only way out of the house is the front door. Communication with the owner was pathetic. The first time I contacted him it took a week to get a poor response. We had to end up going through VRBO to get a response about check in instructions as we had not gotten them when we were supposed to. The owner ignored other questions and requests and left no check out instructions. We cleaned up and bagged the garbage and left it in the unit as there are no bins outside. The couch in the living room is terrible and desperately needs replacing. It is uncomfortable to the point of being unusable. The coffee table is very poor quality, painted wood, and we could not wipe off marks. Shower tiles need replacing or a good scrub but otherwise unit is fairly clean. We requested more towels (one per person in unit), dish clothes (only one in unit) and hand towels (zero in unit) but that request was ignored.
We had a great stay at this stylish apartment in Jericho. It’s beautifully designed with comfy beds and very nice furniture. The location is excellent - quiet but close to everything you could need. We stayed with our baby and 4 year old son and the flat was a good size for a family of four.
My only notes would be that it’s lacking in towels (4 towels for 4 people for 10 days was not nearly enough) and that we got the check in details very last minute, which was a bit stressful. Once we had them though, check in was very straightforward and everything went smoothly.
I’d certainly stay here again if I had the opportunity.
