"My husband and I drove the coast of California from Paso Robles to stay here in Monterey. After a long day of driving, we were thrilled to enter the building and hear they have upgraded us to partial ocean view. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed a relaxing view before dinner. It is centrally located near lot of activities, cafés, beaches, and more! I would like to also give a special shout out to Stacy at the front desk, who was so kind and greeted us and gave us food recommendations and things to do in the area. I would give this a five star review."

"Charming historic hotel in a very convenient downtown location. It’s within walking distance of many restaurants, Fisherman’s Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Presidio of Monterey, which made exploring easy. Parking was affordable in a nearby public garage, which was a nice bonus for the area. The hotel has a lot of historical charm and character. My only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which would have made the stay more comfortable."

"The view, location, parking and kitchen are great. The property and furnishings are nice in general. However, there were some issues. The BBQ does not work. The dryer does not work properly. Also, the windows in the bedrooms cannot be opened so the air in those rooms does not circulate. It would be an excellent improvement if the BBQ and dryer are replaced, and the windows in the bedrooms can be opened."

"Location and view of the ocean was incredible both from our room and for breakfast/wine&snack time! Seals right outside and the walk to lovers point was incredible. This was the first time we have tried a B&B and now we will start looking for more as this was such a great experience. Such a warm welcome and attention to details and our needs. Cookies,wine &cheese were awesome and breakfast was incredible. Wi-Fi and power connections were great and on both sides of the bed. They have both fans and heaters to fit you temperature needs."
