The Vendue

4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (616)
"For the amount of money we paid, this was less than satisfactory, definitely not 5 stars. To begin, do not say breakfast is included when it is nothing more than a Pillbury croissant and a mini muffin. In addition, not everyone can bite into an apple: some need knives. I had to ask twice to get one. Why not use Revival to serve breakfast? What are your amenities? A five star hotel has a pool, gym and or sauna. The Ryder Hotel

3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1013)
"Very aesthetic fitness-girlie vibes, but be aware no gym at the property. (There is a yoga mat in the dusty closet.) We loved the room decor. Comfortable bed. Bathroom fixtures, shower were brand new and beautiful. There is no refrigerator or coffee maker in the room, which made it hard for our four-night stay. The property has no free coffee at all offered to guests. I did, however, learn well into my stay that we could have asked for a refrigerator AND a Keurig, but we were not informed...

Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District

3.5 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (1015)
"This is a very comfortable place if you want a two room suite so one person can get up earlier than the other. The breakfast service is very convenient and the omelette cook makes wonderful omelettes. For the first few days, they close the outdoor patio because of construction in the driveway. It’s nice to be able to eat outside. The pool and the area around the pool are pleasant. "
