"Nearby area is run down, few services, and rather vacant. There is a Turkish themed restaurant just up the street which is about it for evening dinner. Breakfast at the hotel itself was very good. Free parking. "

"It had all the comforts of a home! Full kitchen, TV with plenty of channels to choose from; electric fireplace; very cozy. Quiet location, met friendly people at both local pubs. Landlord was easily available and helpful. Bedding was too warm for us. Would have liked a lighter comforter or blanket and a small bar of hand soap in the bathroom. "
"A great stay.Myself and family (7 of us including grandchildren aged 5 and 2) stayed here for 4 nights as we were in the area for a wedding.The contact with the host was excellent and the accommodation was plenty big enough for all of us to spend time together or equally to have some quiet time.There was plenty of storage space and all the kitchen equipment we needed.We were left fresh baked bread, butter and milk on arrival which was very gratefully received. The area was very peaceful and the children loved going to feed to chickens and collect eggs in the morning. The farmhouse needs a little tlc in some areas but this is an older property so only to be expected but this did not negatively affect our stay at all.I would recommend this property to others and we would stay again if back in the area. "It is an amazing property, I went with my family as I booked reindeer lodge and made a weekend of the trip and couldn’t fault it at all. The owner got tea, coffee and milk in for us for when we arrived and there was a football net and footballs for the kids, and the garden was massive and secure. I will also add the kids loved waking up and seeing the sheep in the field next door in the morning."
