Lovely staff with good check in. comfortable room and bed and good bathroom. Leisure facilties good except shortage of beds around the pool and the few they had were not in good condition. We went to a wedding evening event which was excellent with great staff again. Only let down was the very tiny, one slice of pork on a huge bap with one stuffing ball. After everyone had eaten, they brought out a big skillet of pork which was uneaten.

The resort’s location is excellent, swimming pool and spa are very good, fantastic area, and quiet to chill. Lion’s Hotel is very good, unfortunately the staff are not friendly and polite.

Pure relaxation accommodation

Really nice chilled out environment, Really helpful staff, very relaxing with excellent spa treatments onsite if required or just relax with ambient atmosphere when using the swimming pool, sauna, steam, hydrotherapy area's giving it a pure chilled vibe to unwind, we booked an executive room with a canal view, just watching the barge boats go past whilst having a beer next to the water it was a very good & relaxed atmosphere, we would definitely be returning to the hotel/spa we had excellent weather that made our trip even better after a day of canoeing over the tallest Aqueduct.

Loved the spa and swimming facilities, lovely atmosphere and nice and clean. Good restaurant with great breakfast, excellent quality. The room was the only thing that let the stay down. The air con didn’t work, the balcony was tiny and very old, the bathroom looked very poorly finished and the shower tray was a little mouldy. I paid extra to have a canal view room and it really wasn’t worth it.

Lovely place at a good price. We had a two night stay at this hotel while visiting Llangollen, rooms are nice and clean with wonderful views. Both lady’s on reception were so nice and helpful. We had a lovely chat with Ellie and both are a credit to the hotel. Buffet breakfast was very tasty with a great selection. We had dinner on both nights and the crispy chilli beef was very good. Also plenty of parking and an excellent spa and pool. One we will definitely return to 😊

We enjoyed our stay. The food was excellent and a very good selection for breakfast. The staff were mostly friendly and attentive. The hotel reception were excellent and very welcoming. However, the hotel could do with an upgrade especially the Spa Area as many toilets and showers were out of order. The area surrounding the hotel was super and the Poachers pub is a lovely walk along the Llangollen Canal. We would happily stay here again.

The hotel is located outside town and close to the A5 road. It very quiet and has plenty of parking. The restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. Some customers had a free bottle of wine while none was offered to us. Not clear how that works.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The spa facilities were fantastic however when we arrived we were informed it was open till 10pm. We assumed this was for the whole of the weekend stay however when we went on the 2nd day they were closing. The breakfast was amazing couldn't fault anything. The room was an executive room. It was comfortable but required refreshing as paint was stained. We would return

Hotel Brea

Great location. Very nice hotel although needs updating in areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble. Food in the restaurant was excellent and great service. Outdoor areas and gardens are very nice just needs some tidying up. The barge docking area was very dirty which was a shame. The spa looked lovely but did not use it this time. Overall a lovely stay.
