"Wonderful family owned hotel. The TL or tenderloin neighborhood is San Francisco can always be a bit sketchy, but the city seems to have cleaned up in the last couple of years. This is an old hotel which I’m sure if the walls could talk would have quite the stories it has one of the oldest elevators in the city, which is really cool. I would definitely stay here again and it’s a great hotel when you’re on a budget."

"This hotel is dated and not worth the price that they charge. Had to have them fix the toilet twice and have them fix the sink because it wasn’t draining. The sink shouldn’t have drainage issues at this price and management should check these things. Wallpaper peeling. I get that it’s a historic hotel but I would stay somewhere else. Old school charm is fine but not at their rates. Time has passed this hotel by."
