I booked based on the reviews and prices, and wasn't disappointed. The room was clean, large and enjoyable. The staff was friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Wifi worked great. Getting to the center of town and Schloss Schonbrunn was very easy. As most reviews mention, the subway station is right next to the hotel. The nearby cheap supermarket is also a big plus and I frequented it daily for snacks. Honestly, there is nothing wrong I can think of. I think the 12 Euro price for a good hefty breakfast including great coffee is acceptable, considering the comfort of eating at the hotel. Breakfast at any of the cafes in town won't be that far off in price. Be sure to try the ham which is freshly sliced :)
My only regret is that I didn't stay longer in this wonderful city.
For someone who wants a clean, well-maintained place to stay in Vienna, and who is not interested in spas, workout rooms, bars, dining rooms and all the other add-ons hotels use to boost their revenue, I can't imagine a better choice than the Tourotel. Our room was bright, comfortable and clean. The staff at reception were courteous, helpful and knowledgable. The location is equipdistant from the Schonbrunn Palace and the Stadtsoper. The neighborhood is bursting with cafes, bakeries and retail shops pitched at the moderate buyer. Not for everyone, perhaps, but for us, ideal!
The modern styled hotel offers a new experience overlooking the Danube river and the heart of Vienna City.
We enjoyed the exquisite view and found the nearby subway (U-bahn) station very practical.
The hotel offered overall a positive experience, from the friendly staff, elegant facility, good cuisine and stylish spirit. Room was comfortable and spacious and booking a "Level" room have us a wonderful river view on the 12th floor. The daily offer of coffee capsules for the in-room machine was as indulgence.
We just found the wardrobe lighting insufficient and the space for hanging clothes little vs. the shelves.
No major comments really, it is valuable experience for a couple or even a family that is with the cost.
This hotel is off the beaten path, but the staff and restaurant make up for that! They were diligent in making sure we were happy and comfortable. Everyone was courteous and kind. Though the bed was a bit hard for our liking, the room was clean, comfortable and lovely. We would stay here again.
We stayed for 2 nights only and had limited use of the hotel's facilities but everything was as expected, and of a high standard. Staff were polite and very helpful. My friends arranged a late-night delivery of a dessert platter to our room to celebrate my birthday and the hotel didn't charge us for it, which was a nice touch.
The hotel was a little hard to find, but not because of the location, the Vienna metro/trams can be a little overwhelming at first. The room was very nice and the staff was very helpful with every question I asked.
Great location, 10 min walk to everything. This small hotel is understated elegance ...the room, although not large, was well appointed and relaxing, the bathroom was large, with a heated floor and an oversized shower, and the fitness center with pool and full Spa was a treat after a full day of touring. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had...delicious, extensive, and beautifully presently. The hotel staff was friendly, very helpful and anxious to please. The San Souci was a wonderful choice for my 4 day stay in Vienna.
