St. Augustine Hotels

We enjoyed our stay the room was clean and it was quiet. I have no complaints.

Clean, full breakfast!!! nice towels, everything works... I have tried all other hotels in the area I95 in st Augustine, and this one is the best.. $12 more than the others but worth it!!!

Excellent value for a budget price. It may be a "budget hotel", but it's clear that the management is dedicated to providing their guests a first class experience. The room wasn't just clean-- it was spotless. I wish every budget hotel was this clean. All of the furniture was updated, in good condition, and the bed was super comfortable to sleep in. The complimentary breakfast was better than what you get at most budget hotels. The hotel is very close to the old city of St. Augustine and some of the northern-most tourist attractions. As an added bonus, the hotel is right across the street from the Red Train Tour's "Old Sugar Mill" train station. You can buy your tickets there, take the train into town, never have to worry about paying for parking, and the train brings you right back to your hotel when you are ready to come back. All in all, a very good experience at the Southern Oaks Inn. Highly recommended for the traveler who is looking for a comfortable room at a budget price.

Great location, great hotel, great pool, can't beat it for the price.

The best sleep I have had in awhile. Was kind of disappointed there was no table to put your make up on, irons and etc. in the bathroom. Also could not hear anything as long as you had the bathroom light on. because the fan made so much noise. The rate I think is to high for what you get.

Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Quite area yet close to attractions. We will return and bring our friends

The best hotel in town. Excelent service from the arrival until we leave. Nice and friendly service. You only have to arrive to St. Augustine and enjoy, including the hotel.

We were greeted by one of the friendliest front desk personnel that I have ever come in contact with. I wish I could remember her name, I am sorry for not being able to. The room was clean and unbelievably quiet considering it was the first ro closest to the lobby. The view of the river from both the room and pool area was unbelievable. We were in town only over night and arrived later than what I thought we would. We definitely enjoyed it though. The band that was playing that night was awesome too! Couldn't ask for a better stay and wish we could've stayed longer. Just want in the cards this time. We have our son out there though, so we will definitely be back.

We stayed at this hotel about 2 years ago when it was called the El Hombre Hotel and it was a real dive. It has since changed names to the Jay Bird Inn and has changed ownership and has become absolutely amazing!! The new owner really cares about his property. He totally redid the entire place from the ground up and it is now a 5 star hotel in my opinion , but with only a 2 star cost to stay. It is a great place for families and who ever wants a great place at a reasonable price. We will definitely be going back.
