Disappointing for the cost
No guest laundry, and no laundromat within walking distance. $10 for a clean shirt via the hotel. Hotel restaurant breakfast was awful, brown water for coffee (unless you order a $4.50 espresso), and limited buffet. Fortunately there are a number of good places nearby (the Americano was great with cook to order fresh food.) The hotel is on the steep side of the hill, so you have to take two elevators to get down to nearby restraunts and Lambron Quay. On the plus side, the room failed to annoy: high shower head, great view (facing harbour, but there were rooms facing the other way), comfy beds, and enough plugs. Computer video input for TV, and free (if modest speed) WiFi if you join their loyalty club for free on check-in. Close to the harbor and 10 min from Te Papa, but Cuba St is a 15 minute walk. Virtually next door to the cable car. Next time I'll stay closer to the harbor and verify laundry facilities.
