"Extra charge for everything"
Good location but the hotel amenities will cost you extra charges. Ie. parking ¥3000/night, use of indoor pool ¥3650/day, Wifi something/day, etc. Also, im trying to reserve for a dine in at the hotel restaurant, the customer agent speak little english so i ended up canceling my reservation.

"The Imperial Hotel"
The hotel was close to everything needed for a very pleasant stay. It was close to the rail system, cabs were available at the door 24 hours a day and parks were within walking distance. There were many, many places to eat and shop within a few minutes of the Hotel. The staff in the Hotel were ALL very efficient and it was indeed a pleasure to see that hard work is still a way of life somewhere. The staff of the Hotel were always right there for you and any questions that you might have. If we needed anything, it was brought to us immediately and not when they felt like it. The transportation system was some of the best I have seen. The rail service is very good and on time. Shopping is an experience very different from America. They actually try to help you in EVERY way and don't have an attitude. My experience was very good and thank you so very much to all the staff and working personnel in the Hotel. Very exceptional service and kindness.

Wonderful hotel with complementary use of pool and gym. Couldn't fault it. Staff and facilities are great too and the afternoon tea is a must. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with views of the Imperial Palace gardens. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Tokyo.

"Wonderful hotel close to a Tokyo Metro stop"
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and loved it! The rooms were very spacious (for Tokyo standards) and were fully stacked in every way. The bathroom was very nice and kept super clean every day and restocked with every single item that was even opened...regardless if we needed another bottle/bar or not. The Takeike-sanno station (entrance 13) is right off the escalators off the second floor (main lobby) which makes getting around the city that much easier. All of the employees were absolutely delightful and helpful when we needed them, especially the concierge staff. The only think I can say "negative" about this place are that the hotel restaurants and bars are extremely expensive...more so than any other hotel restaurant I've ever been to. All in all I would say a perfect place to stay.

"Great stay"
Great lively hotel in lively shinjuku. Airport limousine drops you right at the hotel. Spa/onsen area is great. Shower in the bathroom is awesome. One negative is that the hotel interior feels a bit dark especially the breakfast area in the morning.

"Lovely hotel with wonderful restaurants"
Returned to Tokyo following a short tour group. The hotel is located basically on "embassy row," close to the American embassy, and has easy access to 3 subway stations and lines. The staff was very welcoming, and not "stuffy" as one might expect for a hotel of this type. My room was large, compared to Japanese standards, and well-appointed with bath amenities. The restaurants, though not inexpensive, provide a wonderful and memorable culinary experience, and one that should be savored at least once. Although travelling single, I was not treated any differently from the staff, who were always warm and welcoming. I thank the chefs for the fabulous meals I had and their interactions with me. For me, I can't wait to go back for another, and extended stay at Hotel Okura.

"Great stay"
Hotel is great from every aspect. No room for any complaints from the room to staff to service. The only reason I would give it a 4 star is because of their weird rules for the use of the pool area for the kids. First kids under 3 are not allowed in the area altogether so one of us had to stay out with my 2 yr old. And for the kids 3+ to 12yr something the pool is only available from 9 to 7pm. By any common sense that means they can practically not use the facility since most ppl will be out the hotel by 9 or 10 and generally be back between 7 to 9pm after a day out. Also the spa staff has the tendency to constantly track you while your in the area making sure what your wearing or whether you should wear anything if your in the sauna area to what kind of footwear your wearing depending on what area of the spa your in. You don't feel the privacy and discreetness.
