"Great location, right next to Rialto bridge, Hard Rock shop and Gondolier station (they are quite expensive €110 for about 25 mins, that's not the hotels fault though). Only 2 minor complaints. No PowerPoint at the side of the bed and the shower was not the best I've ever had. I would like to add special thanks to the porter who helped us when we arrived after I cut my finger quite badly on a razorblade in my bag."

"what a wonderful hotel. Right on a small canal close to the water bus. It is a bit away from the really busy areas and had very good restaurants close by. They have a lovely bar where you can actually get a great martini or drink of your choice by American standards. The staff was great. I can't recommend this hotel enough. We loved it for our 3 day stay. Even the air conditioning was reasonable and some tv stations in english."

"Staff was wonderful. Room was comfortable, and the breakfast satisfying. Be mindful you will have to carry your own luggage upstairs. Not a problem for us, as our rule for European travel is to never back more than you are willing to carry up a flight of stairs. Location is convenient to Rialto Bridge and water taxi stop. We really enjoyed our stay."

"Really central for all the main venice attractions... handy gondola basin... 5 mins walk from the main vaporetto.... nice venetian feel...my room excellent size ... others can be small... ask for balcony room as there are only a couple of them...can get a water taxi to the door if have the cash....nice bar... friendly staff Really great place.."

"Saturday night at the pizza place was utter chaos. The wait staff were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Took forever to order. Then with food delivery it was just nuts. No one knew which table for which order! Completely unorganized. Not the level of service one would expect from a Marriott resort like this. Then today when we had confirmed reservations for luggage pickup at 7:30 am and a water taxi at 8, and we were there at the dock before 8, we learned that no such reservations had been made, even though I had an email stating that we were confirmed for the service. The wonderful employee at the dock jumped through hoops to make it work for us. I paid $400 for the airport transfers in all, and believe I deserve some type of compensation for this failure. So far, no response from hotel staff. Again, very disappointing for a Marriott resort at this level. Will not be returning."
