"My mom and I really enjoyed our 2 day stay at Alla Fava hotel in Venice. Our flights were severely delayed and we ended up landing in Venice around 1am. After getting a taxi + water taxi out to the Rialto bridge, we found the hotel with little difficulty and used the code to let ourselves in. This was very convenient as many other hotels would not allow check-in after midnight. The location is very good, central to walk around as well as catch the local water bus. The room is nothing fancy, basically a bed and a bathroom with a window overlooking a minor canal. But if you're planning to spend your days out exploring and only in the room to sleep, I highly recommend this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. (Our weather was cool, so we didn't need to use the air conditioning. But there was a unit in the room.)"

"We stayed here for 3 nights in May as part of our Italian vacation. Location is good- quiet and outside of the super busy spots but close enough to walk where you want to go in a few minutes. The building is very old, but restored nicely and well maintained. Definitely old world and not modern. We were in the red room which was not our taste, but was clean and well appointed. Except the blow dryer which barely blew a warm breeze of air. Breakfast had a good variety and the staff were very responsive. Scrambled eggs were the best we had on our weeks long trip, but wished there was a made-to-order option for fried eggs. If there was, this wasn't communicated. Easy water taxi to the airport- though not cheap!"

"As with all excellent properties, it’s the staff that makes them truly outstanding. Roberto of the front desk helped us arrange a water taxi before our drive in from Slovenia. He arranged for Clare the hostess to meet us and escort us to the taxi. Barbara served breakfast the next morning with cheerful energy. The room was elegant and had all necessary amenities. A nice additional updating touch would have been UBC outlets."
