1692 Wasdale was the highlight of not just our visit to the Lake District but our entire holiday, which also included the Gotham and the Lowry in Manchester and the Montcalm in London. This place blew them out of the water. If we lived in the UK and not on the other side of the world, we would have already booked regular stays for the rest of the year. As it is we will be visiting again when next in England.

Great location for exploring in a nice quiet village. Room was rather cluttered and not user friendly. Staff were most pleasant and the price was great.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay here, and would have stayed longer had there been availability. Breakfast was top notch, room was brilliant. What a great spot to explore the area from, since you have to traverse the mountains to get anywhere! Absolutely recommend Irton Hall.

Absolutely perfect! Kevin and Tracey have created such a lovely B&B. The decor, the extra touches like plenty of coffee and tea choices in the room, lovely furnishings, breakfast so lovingly made and Kevin and Tracey are so lovely. They’ve gone the extra mile and have given us the perfect stay. Close to shops and restaurants, transport and lake ferries. We could not have asked for a nicer experience.
