Considered the “Craft Beer Capital of the World,” you can’t throw a stone without hitting a famous brewery—but don’t throw stones when you can stop for a pint at Stone Brewery instead.

Getting to San Diego

San Diego is served by the heavily trafficked San Diego International Airport (SAN), just 4.8 km from downtown. The heart of downtown San Diego is walkable, but many activities, like the zoo, major golf courses, and wine country are farther away, so a booking a car hire in San Diego might be a good option. In the city, try to take at least one ride on the historic trolley. To get to other locations a little farther afield, you can also book a ride on one of the regional rail systems or bus lines.
