"I was quite upset by the small print “amenities fee” I had to pay upon arrival. This $115 covered a bottle of water in my room, a few cups for the coffee maker, and internet. These are standard hotel expectations, not extra. I still could have forgiven if they would have let me opt out of these “amenities” and not pay the fee. Which they would not. "

"Unusual in not a good way. This is an older building that’s been turned into hotel rooms. Somewhat sketchy street, homeless person sleeping in tent by front door. Building and room smelled musty. Room had shabby mismatched furniture, damaged artwork, torn check out room door tag. Only one hard chair to sit on. Very low platform bed with sharp edges, not good for older person to get in and out of. No light by entrance door or closet. Bulb missing from overhead light so hard to see into closet and needed my flashlight. Outlets not in convenient place for devices and no USB/USC options, so needed plugs instead Couldn’t get TV to work or turn TV screen off, had to unplug. When called for help got what sounded like overseas customer service who just took message. 14 hours later someone responded and there was no one who could come and check it out/fix it over the 3 days I was there. So you’re on your own for any problems and it will take a while to even hear back about them. Management finally texted back and forth, asked me to buy new batteries for remote and offered me a gift card for that. I declined. Then offered me 10% of future stay but I won’t be staying there ever again. In the end, not a bargain. "

"Amazing above and beyond front desk staff led by Dylan Hemmila. He coordinated our room to be decorated for my wife's birthday along with flower arrangements to be placed in the room upon delivery, with the help of a great friendly staff, from the beginning of our stayand throughout. A must stay when in San Diego! Thank you Dylan and Team Margaritaville!"
