I loved my stay here! The room was perfect, the staff was so nice and welcoming and the location was perfect for the night life. I also loved the complimentary candy in the lobby, it was my favorite and such a cute little touch! I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay as it’s close to many great locations. The staff are very helpful and friendly. I do wish the mini fridge was not full of amenities to buy and instead be empty for you to put any water or perishables while on your trip.

A unique, charming, older hotel with a great tradition in San Diego. Built in 1913, the hotel has managed to maintain a simple elegance, not often found in newer hotels. Centrally located as well to the Gaslamp District. Loved it!

This hotel is incredibly charming and cozy! We stayed for a night to see a concert at Petco Park, and it was the perfect walking distance. The hotel was very clean and so pretty! The rooms are smaller but for what we needed it for, it was perfect! The staff at the front desk was extremely friendly. The attached café is beautiful and has FANTASTIC breakfast! If we stayed in Gaslamp again, i will be back!

The hotel was quaint and cute. Nice to have restaurants onsite. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing was the smallness of the room and shower and no drawers to store things. Elevator was vintage so slow. Hotel turned out to be convenient to wedding facilities.

The ambiance of the hotel was amazing, it feels like an experience instead of the stay. The robes to enjoy during your stay make it feel very luxurious. The room is small and the room doesn’t get too cool so that was a bit of a bummer because my boyfriend runs hot. We enjoyed the convenience of Saint James being downstairs with the ability to bring drinks up

Would only recommend staying here for a weekend trip. If you have more than 1 bag each for 2 people the small rooms make it hard to lay things out. A/C wasn’t very strong on one of the hotter weeks in SD. Bed was really comfortable. Worst part was the elevator. Only 1 of 2 was working, and it was slow. I understand they’re preserving the history of the building but it makes for a lot of waiting during check in/check out peaks.

Nice old bldg,conveniently located...staff was courteous. My only criticisms is the shower stall (no tub)was incredibly small and cramped,think cruise ship small. Also the A/C was inadequate in keeping the room cool.
