I was staying there on 9 Sept, which was during heat wave in England. I planned this stay because we want to have a good sleep as the room has air conditioning.
On the night of 9 Sept, we found the air conditioner was not working. Staff from reception and the duty manager came to check, but failed to fix it. They said the hotel is full and cannot change for another room.
As that time was 11 pm, it was too late to go home and I could only stay in such a hot room. They said they could refund for my stay, and I have requested a fan for some ventilation. They could only give me a 9 inch fan, for a three member family in a hotel room.
The other morning we went to check out, the reception staff has changed. She said she cannot arrange the refund, and will need to ask for permission from manager and return to me.
While she finally returned to me that they have provided an “alternative”, so cannot refund for my stay.
My family and myself were angry. Is the 9 inch fan a alternative? And that was me in asking a fan, not even the staff suggested on that night.
I feel too bad in my stay.
