We were greeted by our friendly host who showed us the beautiful studio and gave us info on the area. The studio is ground floor and only the road separates you from the beach and sea with a view out to Kapiti Island. The kitchenette contains everything you need for a wonderful stay at this gem of a place. We have no complaints and highly recommend it.

The main photo does a disservice to the place - the sea is only 20 meters away, and you see it from the window. I loved my stay and my hosts - a modern, comfortable, and beautiful room that comes with really nice touches of candies and great conversations. the only downside is the soundproofing from the main house, but I did get used to it and would definitely come back!

Lovely place to stay. Such a beautiful spot and from your room you look straight out to kapiti. Elsie was so friendly and helpful re travelling on train to wellington and other places to go to in paekak. I really lo ved pukerua ay its delightful. Thankyou very much.

Great alternative to downtown Wellington
We decided to stay here instead of dowtown Wellington during our visit to rhe area. It was like having a private beach! It was a rocky beach, with lots of tide pools and a really nice area for morning and evening walks. Very quiet area. The hostess was very pleasant and helpful. She only lets this one room, and provides everything for the continental breakfast in the room which was great for us because we up and out very early on both mornings of our stay.

The property was incredibly clean and the owners were polite and friendly. The property is right next to the sea and the room as a great view. I got a sore back from the bed but that may reflect on me rather than the bed itself.

The room was fantastic. All the additional touches were fantastic. Sherry and sherry glasses for a night cap,was an excellent touch. The variety of teas and coffees was amazing, the bathroom with everything you could want. The continental breakfast and fresh fruit was great. I cannot praise this enough. The view is amazing, the beach just across the road. I would highly recommend this B & B.

Wonderful place!
Wonderful place on a secluded beach but short drive to restaurants and Wellington. One of the few places I've stayed that you could really plan a trip around. Apartment is not huge but has all the modern conveniences and a beautiful stone sink. Gracious host. Well worth a 10 rating.

There as not a single detail that was overlooked. Absolutely the best accommodation for a couple. A great beach walk just outside your door and close to really good food too! Hosts get top marks - friendly and very helpful with really good recommendations for restaurants and sites in the area.

Idyllic peaceful location with beach across the road. Wonderful place to stay within 30-40 minutes of Wellington. Room was beautifully presented and of a very high standard. Hosts could not have been more welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Highly recommend.

My stay at Kapiti Waves was truly wonderful. As part of a very busy business trip, it was amazing to come back to a place that I was made to feel like I was at home. From an impromptu BBQ dinner provided by my hosts to the attention to detail in the room itself, I was left wanting for nothing. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough!

Absolutely gorgeous, in every way!
I don't know what the most impressive aspect of this Bed & Breakfast was - the stunning location/view, the obviously well thought out extra touches throughout the property to ensure that as guest you don't want for anything, or the genuine friendliness and hospitality of the hosts. It was great to be able to park your car right outside the door, or you can park it down the road slightly in order to maximise the stunning view. There is just the one self-contained room with its own access separate from the hosts' house so your privacy is assured. It was such a pleasure to walk inside to a warm and comfortable room, where absolutely everything has been thought of. Elsie is an absolute treasure, and clearly has a keen eye for interior decorating. We will definitely stay here again, we enjoyed our weekend getaway so much and would highly recommend it to anyone.

WOW what a beautiful place to stay!
This property was amazing. Very tasteful in its design, with everything that we required - the bathroom was just stunning. The breakfast was beautiful and we had freshly baked scones on arrival, such a treat. Elsie and Johan are wonderful hosts who made us feel very, very welcome. We cannot wait to return!

Beautiful view and wonderful breakfast
We stayed at Kaipiti Waves B&B for a night on our way to New Plymouth. We were unable to communicate our time of arrival but when we arrived our host was there and showed us our room and all the amenities. W head a beautiful view of the ocean from our bed and the street was quiet. The breakfast was delicious and much better than most B&B’s. We had eggs, pre made pancakes, cheese scones and more all without needing to bother our host. It was the perfect place to stay. Would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.
