"Stayed at Warakei Resort for 3 weekday nites and used it as a base for full day trips doing the Lake Taupo Loop and the Central Plateau Mts Loop. Perfect accomodation for a late winter solo traveller. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Grounds extensive and diverse.....7-8am swim in thermal lap pool was magic. Room spacious, everything worked, plenty of bathroom and coffee-tea making supplies. Room serviced daily whilst out exploring. A great place to come 'home to' after out all day. "Great staff at this older but very charming hotel. We loved having a glass of wine in the evening by the fireplace. Great location for sights and shopping. Very walkable. We loved the proximity to Polynesian spa. "

"It as its own spa. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. The only thing downside is that the bathroom and the building is a bit tired, although very clean for its age. May need a renovation soon. The bed was clean and the mattress was excellent. Highly recommended. "

"All expierence was amazing. The views from the room, the staff, the food. Great options for dinner and delicious buffet for breakfast. I requested a little cake for my partner 's bday and they arranged a very amazing gift. I Really apreciate it. Totally recommended"
