"We stayed at the cottage house which is outside the main building. It was very spacious and has an indoor jacuzzi tub which is why we booked it. The hot water is pre-heated, so it was just enough to fill the tub. There won’t be hot water after if you wanted a shower. Also, an important downside for us was the wifi signal is so weak that neither our phone nor laptops could pick any signal. Was a bit disappointed in that regard as the hotel is aware of the problem but made no effort to fix it....

"A lovely guesthouse with a lovely owner. It’s walking distance to everything in Keswick. Lots of information on walks etc provided. A fantastic cooked breakfast is included in the price. "Brathay Lodge makes for a very comfortable and convenient stay in the Lake District. The room was modern and well-maintained and the staff friendly and considerate. There is a parking fee (unless booked direct) but you’d have to pay elsewhere anyway. If you have an electric car it’s a good idea to let them know in advance so you can use their reasonably-priced ProjectEV charger. The continental breakfast was fresh and varied and set us up for the day. Would definitely stay there again. "
