"The hotel is in need of a refresh. The bathroom soap/lotion containers are falling off the wall. We only were given 2 bath towel and 1 hand towel. No shower mat or face clothes. When asked for an extra towel was told no. No patio chairs so you had to move the ones from room out. There is not enough pool chairs and they are very uncomfortable. "

"The RIU Palace was a great all-inclusive resort for families. The grounds were always clean, the staff was amazing and extremely friendly. My only complaint was with the room. We booked a junior suit with two beds for my husband, my mom and I. I thought two beds would be all we needed, but the beds were double beds and they were pushed together to make a king. There was one outlet on only one side of the bed and one USB on the other, so trying to find places to plug in our phones was challenging because I wont plug my phone directly into a wall USB for security reasons. Two people sleeping in a double bed is not relaxing nor very comfortable. We have stayed at the RIU Santa Fe before and I was led to believe the Palace was nicer. I honestly didnt see much difference between the two, but you do get access to the Santa Fe, if you stay at the Palace. The food was pretty good and they do offer some gluten free options. They could improve on the signage of the GF options though. There is a kids show every night at 8 and an adult show at 9, but when that’s over, there isn’t much else to do other than drink at the bar with Able (who was amazing and our favorite bar tender!). The active nightlife is over at the Santa Fe. In the end, we would stay at a RIU again, but make sure to book a larger room. It would be great if they could add a few more outlets though! "

"Best resort food I’ve ever had, with portions that will actually leave you feeling full! Staff across resorts are very well organized and make it easy for you to access each resort with an all inclusive plan. Only negative I would say about this resort is that the rooms don’t have much storage for clothing and are honestly not what I would expect for paying premium price in the Towers. There is no nightly entertainment (if that is something you enjoy) activities are also hit or miss, depending on if that is your thing. All other aspects are amazing! "

"Major issues with the front desk. To spare the long story, they had very little problem solving ability, and when we only booked one person for the all inclusive )instead of two) instead of charging us what Expedia would have charged us for the “2nd person, about $260 more) they first said it would be $950, then another manager said $950, and then $750 and then $619 and then they finally charged me $609 dollars. I’m so disappointed in that experience. Feels like a hustle and clearly they were not concerned with us coming back. Also, too Was dated, and we awoke to sewer noise coming up through the bathroom drain every morning. Sounded like a Leviathan. Stay at a Marriott - avoid this Sandos hustle. Note: I spoke with them and emailed higher management. I really gave them the opportunity to avoid the negative review. They seem desperate to keep the overcharge. Bummer. "

"We had an excellent stay in our Reserve swim-up rooms! Special shoutout to Pedro, who came around to our swim-ups to take food and drink orders. It was such a nice touch and he really make our trip special. We also really loved the option to reserve cabanas for free. All of our meals were great, with the exception of the Italian restaurant (pizza wasn’t great and they’d benefit from a wood-fired oven). We loved El Cielo, Sal Steak Cave, and breakfast at Sante, the Reserve restaurant. Poolside food menu at the main pool was not very good, would recommend upping the quality there. Overall though, great experience! We’ll be back and would definitely book Reserve again."
