Misleading advertising that the property was pet friendly. That is why I booked this hotel. Upon arriving I was told NO, only the restaurant was. I tried to explain that it was on their website and on Expedia and that I relied on that, but they kept arguing that that was not the case. I don’t think that they know what they are talking about. Very disappointing to say the least. False advertising can be taken to court.

One night stay for Theatre trip
We enjoyed our one night stay at The Buxton. It was close to Spitalfields Market which we enjoyed visiting and it was an easy tube ride to the West End for the theatre. It was a good last minute find for a reasonable price in central London and the breakfast was excellent.

Lovely place
Loved our stay here. Perfect location. Everyone working there was so nice and the service was great. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and a great start to the day. The room was small as expected but it was all we needed and at a great price and the roof garden was a lovely place to have a little sit for a bit. We were telling some friends about it and discovered they'd stayed there recently too and had the same thoughts!!

Chic and stylish functional, staff and hotel alike
Chic and stylishly functional. Space was limited in our double room, more of a challenge in the heatwave despite a decent plugin fan, and could make longer stays less comfortable, but for a short stay the attention to details and location it is perfect. Noise could be a problem if neighbours were loud, but the windows do a great job of blocking street noise. Large fresh towels, powerful shower and nice products, hairdryer and Nespresso. We didn't need the coffee machine though because the service downstairs was just too good. The breakfast was outstanding and overseen by a small, friendly and highly efficient team who embodied the hotel spirit with their eye for detail and accommodating attitude. We would definitely stay again, especially in milder weather.

Don’t stay on the first floor!!!
Service wasn’t great. You check in at the bar in the pub. Had to wait ages for the “receptionist” to get off of the phone to check me in. It was so loud in the pub that it was difficult to hear what he was telling about the room. When I finally got up to my room, which was at the top of the pub (four flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase - no lift!), it was only to find out that the room was already occupied!! So I had to trudge all the way back downstairs with my heavy suitcase to inform them that I had been give. Let’s to someone else’s room. Eventually I got given a set of keys to an empty room which was thankfully on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, you could hear everything happening in the pub - loud music, talking, laughter, etc. it only became quiet enough to sleep once the pub closed for the night which wasn’t until after midnight. Overall, not a good experience. The only saving grace was the free breakfast the following morning. It was really delicious, but otherwise not great.

Lovely hotel
Lovey little hotel. The breakfast is superb and the roof terrace for guests is a lovely touch. We arrived early and managed to check in early with out issue, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was a little on the small side, but it was clean and tidy. Only con was that the shower room and toilet had a glass sliding door not far from the bed, so you’ll need to be comfortable with whoever you are sharing the room with potentially seeing or hearing you on the toilet! I’d consider paying extra for a larger room on this basis in future. However, it did not distract from our stay.

Great concept!
We enjoyed our stay at The Buxton. They have a great concept and gladly recommend the hotel. Breakfast was included and was everyhing we hoped for and more.

Quirky East End Pub Conversion
Quite literally a jewel in the rough. Such an incredibly unique and quirky hotel in the middle of the crazy east end Brick Lane area. Rooms are small, but you don’t notice it being any issue. The staff are all friendly and work super hard to meet your expectations and beyond. The roof top area exclusive to guests is fantastic! Certainly one of those hotels you’d remember forever.

A lovely little pub with well equipped rooms & a bargain to stay in London. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The private rooftop is also amazing! We will definitely be returning.

Just a quick one nighter in London at the Buxton. Very convenient and right on Brick Lane so very handy for bars, restaurants and shopping! Nice rooms and surprisingly quite!

Nice Stay
The Buxton is a nice building with a good location near Spitalfields Market. The bar downstairs is very cozy. The rooms are clean, but they’re small and not much bathroom space. The staff are very professional and welcoming.

Lovely boutique atmosphere with great dining as well as friendly and attentive service. Comfortable, charming room with nice amenities and easy to get to. The attention to detail in the aesthetic of the hotel was fantastic and very considered.

Great place for a short stay in east london
Great stay, love the bar/restaurant and the rooms are perfect for a short stay. Room was small but well appointed, with coffee maker and toiletries. The private rooftop terrace is a really nice addition. Breakfast was a real highlight, high quality food and great service. Highly recommended.

Warm welcome, fantastic staff, comfy bed with lovely linen, high quality toiletries and although bathroom small the power on the shower was fab. Breakfast complimentary toast pastries fruit and yoghurt, with option of cooked if pay. Sunday lunch delicious.

Great place for a stay in London, located directly at Brick Lane with an enourmous amount of food choices (great Indian an bengalese food in that area) and shopping (Spitalfields Market and lots or vintage shops in walking distance). The clean rooms are over the stylish bar where an outstanding breakfast is served by the great staff. We will definitely come back!
