5 stars are not enough for the George and Dragon - the absolute best care and hospitality can be found here! Such a gem in a beautiful village with so much history. All the staff were so kind and accommodating, and the food was delicious and generous portions. Only place open for dinner in the evening so be sure to reserve! Highly highly recommend.

friendly staff. The room was a bit noisy because of traffic on the street, some of it very early in the morning

Great location-very welcoming- just a little tired
Check-in was straightforward and we were made to feel very welcome. From the outside the building is in need of some TLC and whilst a little tired in the bar and restaurant area, overall feeling was positive. Bedroom was a good size and bed very comfortable but the room was in need of some general maintenance. Good selection of beers and dinner and breakfast both fine.

Nice food; cold baths
Friendly staff. Good food. Whole place was dated/tired.
Biggest issue: no hot water. When I explained that the bath was cold, the hotel said that their hot water system couldn’t meet the demands of catering and guests. Beware.
Unique historic cobble street village and the George and Dragon has matching character. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful. We’d stay here again 😊
Lovely village pub in a gloriously beautiful location. The lady that welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had an evening meal and breakfast and the food was delicious. Will definitely return again next year.
Lovely old fashioned traditional inn/ pub. Decent menu with a couple of vegetarian options. Very clean, staff really nice, friendly and helpful. Plenty of locals in the bar side, cosy open fires in bar and lounge side, decent choice of ales ( and wine for me) extremely dog friendly. Village really picturesque.
