When is the best time to go to Glasgow?
The best time to go to Glasgow is during the late spring and summer months, specifically from May to September, when the weather is generally mildest and there are numerous events taking place.

During this period, you'll experience longer daylight hours, which is superb for exploring the city's architecture and parks. Temperatures typically range from 15°C to 20°C, making it comfortable for walking tours and outdoor activities. This is also when Glasgow hosts many of its festivals, such as the West End Festival in June and the Merchant City Festival in July, offering plenty of entertainment and cultural experiences.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find these months ideal. You can enjoy strolls along the River Clyde, dine al fresco in areas like Ashton Lane, or visit the Botanic Gardens when they are in full bloom. The extended daylight allows for more relaxed evenings and opportunities to enjoy the city's culinary scene without rushing.

For families, the summer holidays (July and August) are particularly convenient. The milder weather makes it pleasant to visit attractions like the Glasgow Science Centre, Riverside Museum, or take a day trip to Loch Lomond. Many hotels offer family-friendly packages during this peak season, and the city's parks are superb for children to play in.
