"We only stayed for one night before a morning flight from Carcassonne but wish we could have stayed longer! Our hosts went out of their way to make us comfortable without being intrusive. The house looks like something from the pages of a posh interior design magazine. We had a balcony to enjoy a glass of wine. Restaurants, supermarkets and the rail station are all a few minutes walk. "We booked last minute since we arrived to Carcassonne earlier than expected. The hostess graciously accepted our booking and made us feel exceedingly welcome. The property is gorgeous, high end, very comfortable, and clean. We felt like welcomed family. The bed and pillows were great. The air conditioning was perfect. The bathroom was well equipped with amenities. I wish we could have stayed longer! The included breakfast was lovingly prepared and ready at the time we chose. It was so much more than we could eat with artisanal bread, croissants, fresh chopped fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, and 3 HOME MADE jams, which we devoured. Complimentary parking within the gated yard made it even better. The little town is adorable. Please consider this as a great alternative to staying in the city. While it was only minutes away, it was a world apart. The rates are more than reasonable for what we got…which was a genuine connection in a beautiful place. Exactly what we needed after a tough day of driving. We could not recommend higher. We are filled with gratitude to have experienced this warm couple and their phenomenal hospitality."

"The house was clean and tidy on arrival and it had everything you could need. The pool and other outdoor spaces were fantastic. Christian and Jean-François were brilliant hosts as they were really friendly, helpful and easily contactable. They had lots of good recommendations for exploring the local area. The property had a lovely homey feel and we had a brilliant stay."

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Domaine de Garille ! Le logement est très agréables, propre et bien entretenu, dans un cadre vraiment sympa pour passer de bonnes vacances.Un grand merci tout particulièrement au régisseur, qui a été au top pendant notre séjour : très professionnel, disponible et de bons conseils. Il nous a donné des idées de visites et de bonnes adresses. C’est appréciable S’il fallait trouver un petit point d’amélioration : prévoir des planchas électriques dans les logements serait vraiment un plus. Les barbecues étant interdits à cause des risques d’incendie, une plancha permettrait quand même de profiter des petits apéros-grillades d’été. Une très belle adresse, à la campagne, près de Carcassonne (10 min) que nous recommandons sans hésiter. Merci pour ce beau séjour !"

"nous avons passé un excellent sejour . à commencer par l'accueil chaleureux de sophie. le gite est au centre de la cour. on n'a donc pas a vue sur les vignes. les chambres sont spacieuses. la salle de bain du bas est attenante à la cuisine, mais pas à la grande chambre. le gite est très bien équipé pour cuisiner et se reposer. l'espace piscine est vraiment extraordinaire. la aussi, tout est equipé pour se prélasser ou, patauger. Possibilité de se faire livrer du pain frais et des viennoiseries le matin. je recommande aussi de prendre le t emp s d'une dégustation de vin. est une belle occasion d'échange et d'ecouterr richard nous parler de son travail avec passion -"

"Villegainhenc is a very small Village with no restaurants. You need a car to go for a meal or to shops. Walking 4kms in 37 degrees along a busy road is not a option. It should be more clearly stated in the description that the use of the pool is limited to 16:30-19:30 on weekdays. Not at all on weekends.You need to speak some French in order to communicate with the host."

"Magnifique restauration du bâtiment pour un gîte aux dimensions très confortables (6 adultes et deux enfants). Logement très adapté pour les tout petits car aucun danger pour eux. Une belle cour à l'avant où les repas du soir sont très très agréables, nous avons passé un excellent séjour malgré la chaleur, le gîte est très bien isolé, les extérieurs splendides. Une adresse à retenir!"
