8/10 Good
"The Moxy was a “cool” hotel but if you’re looking for a more traditional room that includes a mini-fridge, microwave, closet, dresser, or ice bucket, this wouldn’t be the place to stay. However, the hotel is very clean and the beds are comfy. There is a “stash closet” available for use by guests which is convenient if one needed a blanket, extra towels, or any forgotten toiletries. The staff at reception (which is actually the bar) were very nice and accommodating, especially Darrius. We were given bottle caps upon check-in which allowed each of us to have a complimentary signature cocktail or a beer during our stay. The pool and gym looked inviting but we had no time to take advantage of either. There is a restaurant on the top floor (the 7th) that served delicious food and had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was a bit pricey but Monday nights a special is offered, a burger, fries, and a beer or glass of wine for $15. Our server Tyler was great. We weren’t aware that there was a parking fee for the garage, $17 a day, but should have expected as such in a downtown hotel. The 6 of us (3 rooms) had a nice time and appreciated our stay at the Moxy, especially the cleanliness as well as the staff."

"We brought our dog. It feels like they put all the “dog people” in this one area. I get it but it felt like a downgrade. There was a dead bug by the porch sliding door. You could hear everything in the room next door and the halls. Felt like people were walking in and out all night. The hotel is right by a Sam’s. The area didn’t feel like a great part of town. But the property had a large green area that you could walk your dog. It’s definitely an older property that is showing its age, but is well maintained. Liked the complimentary coffee bar. They had a restaurant onsite that we didn’t eat at but looked nice."
