"Wonderful, cozy place to stay. Upstairs bedrooms are like staying overnight at grandparents house…if you are a 70s/80s kid you’ll relate. Super quiet at night. Lots of amenities. Appliances very nice. 215-20 to Biltmore. 5 minutes to town with “hipster” shopping/ eating vibe. You could spend a whole day just walking around all the little local shops. Wish we could have stayed longer. "

"Beautiful views of the mountain and lake. This property was very comfortable for our party of 7 adult women having a mini college reunion. There was plenty of room for everyone with the number and arrangement of bedrooms, the great room and dining room, etc. The kitchen is well-equipped. The owner was easily accessed for questions and provided clear instructions about check in and the house in general. Overall, a great low-key place to stay!"

"This is our second time staying at Jean And Doug‘s. We stayed back in 2019. This time we came with our five-year-old daughter and our nine-year-old dog. We were all very comfortable. The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities one can think of on a vacation. We always feel very safe in this neighborhood and we enjoy walking our dog along the babbling brook. Jean And Doug‘s house is a prime location. Close to all the places we intended to visit in and around the area. And the town of Black Mountain is just so pleasant. We enjoyed catching up with Jean and Doug. As always, they were very friendly and hospitable. Communication was excellent. We encountered zero problems on this trip. We can’t wait to come back! "

"I was hoping for better cleanliness. The hot tub was dirty and we didn’t get to enjoy it as much. I had to ask for a broom to sweep all the dog hair in master bedroom and bathroom, shower bottom floor was dirty in both bathrooms, toothpaste in master bathroom sink, stained towels, and bathroom shower head dirty. But overall the stay was great. The Nest was very nice and cozy. "
