"The location of the lodge is really outstanding right in the heart of Banff surrounded by great restaurants and stores. The room was clean, comfortable and very serviceable. It had a balcony overlooking the mostly pedestrian street which we didn't get to use much because of the weather, but could be very nice. The hotel has some amenities, but no pool like some of the bigger hotels have. It did include breakfast which was decent for an included amenity. The best thing about the hotel was the service and little touches. We came back to our room for a nap and housekeeping was just about at our room. I thought for sure we wouldn't get housekeeping that day, but when we returned after dinner the room was all made up and spotless. The lobby had "make your own smores", which I thought was a nice touch. Best of all was Jake at the front deck. So knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend if you are looking for an in-town location."

Mount Royal Hotel

"The check in process was smooth and the front desk staff very pleasant and helpful. We were a bit disappointed that the hot tub was closed, but understood that maintenance must be done periodically. The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view of the mountains, which is what we booked. We did not hear any outside noise from the street below so sleeping was peaceful. The location was perfect for us as we enjoyed the fun and convenience of being right in the heart of town. We would have liked to have eaten at Brazen, the hotel restaurant, however they were fully booked and not taking anymore walk-ins. Lesson learned that we should have made a reservation. Overall we had a wonderful stay!"

"Wonderful experience staying in this hotel when visiting Banff and Jasper. My family and I were here for 5 nights and enjoyed the location, boutique feel of hotel, restaurant and family amenities. Just far enough down the Banff Ave. strip to avoid the touristy hustle and bustle. Great option and high recommend."
