The room was spacious and well set out, if in a little in need of TLC. The problem was that they was no air conditioning. The building is multi-storied with large windows allowing the sun to really heat the room. When i questioned reception regarding the lack of aircon, the advised that it hasn't worked for 2 years. They also hastened to say that this was clearly shown on their website. Ofcourse it isn't, nor on Expedia nor on any communication. In October it was difficult to sleep in the heat, i would hate to try in summer. I can't understand how they can charge these rates with a basic amenity missing.

A great hotel, the rooms are beautiful, the location is perfect (for anyone with kids there is a playground right behind the hotel), there's also an outdoor swimming pool & a hot tub. I will always stay at Parkside Hotel - it's my favourite hotel.

Mostly a good stay. Good location and easy check-in. Air conditioning was broken and noisy. Room was very warm. I called reception to seek help only to be told the air con is broken in all rooms. Would have been nice to be told that on check-in so I knew to turn it off earlier. Fortunately weather outside was pleasant so just left the balcony door open slightly to cool the room down.

Great place overall. Very accommodating when our flight got canceled. Comfortable beds, clean restroom, housekeepers were great, stocked coffee everyday and all staff were very friendly. The amount of noise surrounding the area was constant, people yelling(all hours of the night), actually saw a fight one morning. However, it is close to many restaurants and centrally located, walking distance to many attractions.

Overall good value place to stay

Good location and nice overlooking Myers park. Room good size , some items looking a little tired eg seats , however clean and the kitchenette had everything you need , good modern functioning washing machine. Air con unfortunately not working very well.
