"Very pleasant room but noisy because overlooked the pub back yard where conversation continued into the small hours. Bathroom ok but shower very basic and difficult to operate. Good breakfast and very friendly waitress. It’s an old building so difficult to keep clean. "

"A lovely place in a lovely setting. Checking in was very quick with staff being attentive, pleasant and professional. The only niggle was…The weather was very warm and when we first arrived in the room all windows were closed. It heat in the room was unbearable. There was a floor standing fan which we put on straight away. There was also no fridge in the room. I appreciate that other upgrade rooms had a fridge, but I thought nowadays all hotels had at least a fridge for water and other drinks. A small thing that could be sorted as there was more than enough space in the room to put one. It doesn’t take away the experience we had in staying at this hotel and would return."
