APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower

"If you must be in the center of Kabukicho "
The main selling point of this hotel is probably its location, right in the middle of Kabukicho. Other than that, the hotel itself is mediocre. Free daily bottle of water stopped halfway through my stay. The rooms are extremely small and walls are thin (poor soundproof). Wifi speed would slow to a crawl every night shortly after midnight and resume in the morning.

"Tidy and nice design"
Interior design is modern and cool. My single room size is quite small that I found no place to put my luggage. Facilities are new and wifi is fast. Overall is good

"Exceptional in every way"
We were in Japan for 5 weeks;spent 3 in Prince Properties. Always assured of exceptional service. My wife had bad cold- staff member took her temp and suggested she yse OTC remedies for 24 hours and then took me to a drug store serving as translator with a knowledgeable pharmacist. Next day an apointment was made with english-speaking American Board Certified MD. Excellent physical exam and recommendations. And services condtinued at exceptional.level.

E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku - Tokyo Hotels

E Hotel Higashi Shinjuku

"Near Higashi Shinjuku Station not Shinjuku Station"
I really liked this hotel and would come back again. Note, it's literally right next to Higashi Shinjuku Station which is very convenient but I hate making transfers. I wish the hotel gave directions on their website on how to get there. If you're coming from Narita Airport, you can take the NE train to Shinjuku which is about 3190 Yen and over an hour ride. Once you arrive to Shinjuku, you have the option of walking to the hotel which is a 20 min walk or taking the subway, go towards Oeido (magenta line) or Fukutoshin (brown line) buy a ticket for 170 Yen. I can't remember which line you get off to make a transfer but it's just one stop. So after you get on the subway, get off the next stop and make the transfer. But anyways, hotel was, normal size for japanese hotel. Good accommodations, good internet, coffee shops near by, good 24 hour sushi restaurant (from out the doors turn right walk once you get to the lights cross big street), convenient stores around. Very quiet area but sometimes I'd hear sirens.

Nakano Sunplaza Hotel - Tokyo Hotels

Nakano Sunplaza Hotel

4-1-1 Nakano, Nakano-ku, Tokyo - Map
Room and staff are much more like a 3.4- 4.0 star hotel. The only issue about a higher star rating is the fact that there isn't multiple restaurants on site only near by.

Sun Members Tokyo Shinjuku - Tokyo Hotels

Sun Members Tokyo Shinjuku

Hotel is only a 13 minute walk from the busy Shinjuku station; the staff are very helpful! it was raining on one day and umbrellas were provided free of charge for all guests- compare that with a hotel in London!
