"Location, good nightlife, close to train station!"
The location of this hotel is great and the hotel is part of a movie theater, restaurant complex. There places to find live music, Golden Gai is near by and is four blocks representative of old Tokyo, with two story buildings filled with cool tiny little bars. The window in the room actually turned out to be a nice size in the picture it looked much smaller. 10 minute walk to Shinjuku station, super easy. Love Tokyou and Hotel Gracery was perfect. Super clean, affordable and with Japanese toilet and shower. Fun, light Godzilla theme throughout, but not over the top. There are some seedy streets nearby and the people on those streets can be pushy, but you politely but firmly say no and keep walking and that is all (completely uneventful). Problems happen when people go into these places, in an ignorant fashion and walk out hundreds or thousands of dollars in debt. This area is as safe as any in Tokyo which one of the safest places on earth, unless like anywhere else you are ignorant.

"Small, but excellent. "
The room was small and difficult to manage with two people across ten nights, but if you got over that, it was a really good hotel. The staff were friendly, it was in a fabulous place, don't be fooled by reviews that say its in the red light district, you wouldn't really know if you hadnt been told and we felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. Didn't use the public bath because of the rules about having to go in naked (not my kind of thing!) but I'm sure if you were body confident that would have been a nice addition too. The breakfast was good, some of the choices were a bit odd, so go with an open mind. Overall very good, would definitely stay here again.

"Worth the price"
Price is really cheap including breakfast. Free drink at lobby for green tea & coffee. Hotel can keep your luggage overnight. Warm packet will be presented in winter. Will give you a bottle of water on everyday Free laundry service but takes 4 days. Location is not really good, not easy to get to the hotel if 1st stay. Standard room is so small but I got upgrade a bit bigger room for 2nd check-in.

"Close to Shinjuku Train Station"
Stayed in a twin share room, it was perfect - not a lot of floor space but thats to be expected. Room was tidy and warm (stayed in winter) the room was too warm at times which is the only bad thing I could list.
